DSN Now provides live data from within NASA’s Deep Space Network (DSN). The current status of each telescope is displayed as it communicates to space. Click on a disk to see the current connections from Earth to spacecraft.

The DSN has three global complexes located in California, Spain, and Australia. The DSN also houses our very own radio telescope within the DSS located in Apple Valley, California.

The GAVRT, or Goldstone Apple Valley Radio Telescope, is a 34-meter, 500-ton radio telescope collaboratively used by NASA, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Southern California, and the Lewis Center for Educational Research (LCER). The GAVRT antenna allows students, educators, and citizen scientists to participate in the telescope's remote operation while contributing to research for our current scientific campaigns. Here at GAVRT, we utilize the DSS-13 and the DSS-28 for each of our campaigns. To learn more about our current scientific missions, click here!
